We're pleased to announce that we have entered an agreement with Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management, to become a value-added distributor and stockist for the full range of APC branded Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), products and services.
The partnership will provide Routeco customers access to APC products offering a complete portfolio of resilient and hyper-efficient battery backup power protection and IT physical infrastructure solutions for deployment inside and outside of traditional IT environments. It includes EcoStruxure™ Micro Data Centre solutions, its Easy 3-phase UPS, and APC Smart-UPS, providing industrial power protection for control applications, and harsh or remote systems.
The need for battery backup power protection within an industrial setting is particularly critical, as it helps to prevent disruptions to manufacturing processes, which are at risk from power failures or energy surges. Additionally, an uninterruptible power supply helps extend the life of customers’ plant and production-line equipment, stabilising electricity flows, protecting critical manufacturing systems from the adverse effects of brownouts, spikes and power outages.
Damian Spall, Group Technical Director at Routeco said: “Our industrial customers are installing control systems and information software solutions that can be very costly to the business if any production downtime occurs. With trends in edge computing and IT/OT convergence accelerating, we are seeing a growing demand for increased protection and reliability of these assets, particularly the data storage element, often hosted in an industrial-rated Micro Data Centres. APC UPS solutions complement our portfolio perfectly, giving customers access to a market leading range of solutions, which can be either provided as stand-alone products or pre-assembled into a full micro data-center solution in a certified enclosure, with pre-loaded software applications already configured and ready to implement. This is an exciting new range to be adding to the Routeco portfolio and aligns with our strategy to support our customers on their digitisation and smart manufacturing journeys."
"We’re glad to have formed a new distribution partnership with Routeco, and look forward to bringing our leading UPS and edge computing solutions to a host of new customers across the industrial sector,” said Mark Yeeles, Vice President, Secure Power Division, Schneider Electric, UK & Ireland. “As IT/OT convergence continues, and marks a significant evolution within advanced automation and manufacturing environments, it’s vital that customers leverage best in class technology to reduce production-line downtime, safeguarding both their business and operations against the adverse effects of power outages.”
