What is the purpose of PLC batteries?
If power is lost to the PLC the battery will ensure the program will be saved.
How long does a PLC battery last?
This will depend on how many times the power is lost. We recommend changing every year but you can also look at the end of life date on the battery for reference.
What happens if you don’t have a PLC battery back-up?
You may have to reload the program (if you have a stored copy) which will take time and additional effort.
If you have any questions you can contact your local Routeco Customer Service Centre.
