MTL Instruments introduces the SUM5 Universal Marshalling Solution, a revolutionary smart marshalling solution that optimises capital expenditure and maximises return on investment. MTL SUM5 combines five essential marshalling functions in one modular design, enabling a standard cabinet to provide the most cost-effective and space-saving solution in control rooms.
With MTL SUM5, you benefit from a single cabinet design featuring 'plug and play' configurable modules for the five key marshalling functions. This eliminates the need for complex wiring to interconnect components, resulting in improved uptime and reduced costs associated with wiring, installation, and maintenance.
The modular design of Eaton MTL SUM5 simplifies marshalling and enhances flexibility throughout the product's lifetime. Each terminal incorporates loop disconnect, making loop isolation easy. Coupled with the modular design, this simplifies maintenance and minimises associated costs.
Compared to a standard solution, MTL SUM5 reduces the number of marshalling components by 65%. A single MTL SUM5 universal ADIO isolator module provides the functionality equivalent to 20 different MTL4500 single-channel modules. Additionally, configurable parameters enable support for an even wider range of applications. The marshalling solution offers comprehensive diagnostics, notifying process managers of required actions. LED indicators for power, function, and status simplify commissioning and troubleshooting. MTL SUM5 modules can be mounted in control rooms or the field, certified for ambient operating temperatures ranging from -40 to +70°C, and suitable for installation in Zone 2 hazardous areas, ensuring reliable operation even in remote locations.
